2009 was a wild & crazy year for the TomKats' Sunday afternoon Blues Jam at the Swigwam.

Due to the financial difficulties of its parent company, the Swigwam Beach Bar closed in the fall of 2008; the Swigwam re-opened early in 2009 and though the jam resumed it was reduced to a monthly event - so there are not nearly as many songs posted here as in years past.

The motel complex where the Swigwam resides closed yet a second time - in the fall of 2009 - then underwent a major renovation. The new management agreed to continue the blues jam as a weekly event in 2010 but reneged and stopped the jam entirely at the end of February.   

Many thanks to the guys who ran this blues jam since 2005, namely Tom Weismann, Bob Paskowsky, and Jeff Martin (aka "the TomKats"), and to the original Swigwam management & staff for their support over the years.

As anyone who played there can attest - this was a GREAT jam. There was simply nothing like it.
